RMA has current asbestos and
demolition public and property liability
insurance. The policy covers our
liability to the Principal for loss of or
damage to property and the death or
injury to any person (other than liability
which is required by law to be insured
under workers compensation insurance),
including activities in respect of asbestos
removal and demolition.
Workers compensation insurance is in
place to protect our most valuable
asset
– our staff.
No insurances for contract works are
held unless otherwise requested.
Ross Mitchell & Associates apply quality
assurance practices in accordance with
the requirements of AS/NZS ISO
9001:2000 to all projects. Quality
plans and inspection and test plans are
developed for the works to supplement
work method statements. OH&S
requirements are satisfied in accordance
with NSW Work Cover and other
legislation and standards (AS/NZS
4801:2001 and AS/NZS 4804:2001)
to ensure safe work practices on all
projects. Site safety plans are developed
to help with this. All works are carried
out to comply with AS/NZS ISO 14000
and relevant regulations to ensure
appropriate environmental management
on all projects. Specific site environment
management plans are prepared as
required. Copies of these documents are
available on request.

Ross Mitchell & Associates hold
a license to transport hazardous
and industrial waste. Only licensed
transport and disposal subcontractors
or RMA vehicles are used for the
removal, transport and disposal of
contaminated materials. All asbestos
waste shall be unloaded at an approved
tipping site.
Ross Mitchell & Associates uses a
system of tipping dockets to authorise
subcontractors to tip on their
behalf, ensuring accurate records are
maintained. These are provided to the
client upon request.

From the RMA Queensland depot and office, RMA services greater Brisband, regional Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. The RMA Qld team has a staff of 25 and has operational capacity across hazardous waste removal, demolition, environmental remediation and waste management. In addition to the machinery available in NSW, RMA Queensland also has waste managemnt capacity.
